Motocross · EnduroHaan Wheels began in the 1970s, when Arie den Haan started lacing wheels in a small garage behind his house in Schijndel, the Netherlands. He raced motocross himself, grew tired of wheels that would not stay true, and worked out a better way to build them. Factory teams came knocking, and in 1995 the first complete wheels on Haan hubs rolled out to the Kawasaki GP squad. More than 35 world titles later, roughly half the GP field races on them.
The heart of the program is complete wheels and spoke kits. Front and rear Komplett Hjul builds come laced on Haan billet hubs and Japanese Excel rims, with the Komplett Hjul A60 stepping up to the stronger A60 rim and a Komplett Hjul SM build for supermoto setups. Alongside them, the Ekersats spoke kits cover popular KTM, Honda and Kawasaki fitments in 16, 18, 19 and 21 inch sizes, in plain or colored spoke and nipple options.
The rest of the range keeps those wheels running true and turning. Hjullagersats bearing kits and Distanskit spacer kits refresh the moving parts, Packbox sats seal kits replace worn dust seals, Axel distans axle spacers handle fitment, and Konverteringskit Fram front conversion kits adapt newer KTM and Husqvarna front ends. Which complete Haan wheel should I choose?
For the strongest rim the Komplett Hjul A60 pairs a Haan hub with the A60 rim, which Excel makes around 15 percent stronger than the standard rim at the same weight. The standard Komplett Hjul is the fuller front-and-rear program with a wide hub and rim color choice. For supermoto, the Komplett Hjul SM is the right starting point. Does Haan suit both motocross and enduro?
Yes. The hubs are machined from one piece of billet aluminium and every wheel is laced, trued and tested by hand, so they shrug off hard, flat landings on the motocross track and rock strikes on enduro trails. Rear builds come in 18 inch enduro and 19 inch MX sizes, with a 21 inch front, so you can spec either discipline.
